Self Improvement, The Cows That Stayed Home!, Vedantatoday community
Miracles abound in everyone’s life. They don’t have to be big to be a miracle!
Ever wonder what makes a cow do what a cow does? She slowly moves along, munching on grass, seemingly without any particular goal in mind. Then suddenly she sees a juicy morsel on the other side of the fence. What does she do? If the gate is open she walks on through and continues to eat! If it’s closed she sticks her head through any opening possible and eats the grass on the other side. After all, the grass is always greener…and it just has to taste better!
My friend Carol and her family built their home many years ago just outside our town. Due to progress spurred on by the space industry, our town has grown larger than any of our founding fathers could have imagined. Land that was in the country thirty years ago is now in the city.

and Ascendant Sign - Just What's Going on Here?, Moon Sign, Spirituality News, Vedantatoday community, Your Sun Sign
The Sun symbolizes your basic personality. The Zodiac sign it occupies describes your character’s essential qualities.. This sign is also usually the easiest to find. It’s what you mean when you tell someone “I’m an Aries,” or “I’m a Capricorn.”
Sun sign information alone is “better than nothing,” but it’s also seriously incomplete. Sun sign forecasts can define what’s happening for you on a conscious level and to your self-image, but that’s not all you are … not by a long shot.
In astrology, the Moon symbolizes your inner self, the part of you that responds from habit, feelings, and instinct. If you are a sensitive or emotional person, you may recognize your Moon sign qualities more readily than your Sun sign. These traits are “who you are inside” … an intimate side of your character only you and those close to you really know. In fact, your Moon sign may be very different from — or even in conflict with your Sun sign traits. (And there’s another reason why people are so complicated!)

A Desperate Matter - Spirituality Information, Spirituality News, Vedantatoday community
Tom was a wonderful human being. He was kind, caring and helpful to all those who sought his assistance. The only problem was that most of us did not like to be around Tom. Much as he tried to be a “good” person, there was always an aura of doom and gloom around him.
Desperation broadcasts a very strong message to all within our sphere of influence. It even goes beyond that to people who are meeting you for the first time. Business associates tend to shun you, partners want to avoid you, everyone — even little children — feel uncomfortable around you.
Simple, but not easy. First, try to slow your thoughts down. You are desperate because of the incessant, negative self-talk, which has taken over your entire being. Slow the internal conversation down. Take a break from whatever you’re doing — even if it’s for a few minutes.

A Matter Of Time - Spirituality Information, Spirituality News, Vedantatoday community
The past six weeks have been instrumental in teaching me patience. Normally, I’m a very patient person, but every once in a while an event raises its head and says, “Hold still, son, you have a lot to learn about patience and the wonderful things that could happen when you learn the secret of waiting.”
I thought of the bumper sticker and smiled. Since I had been waiting for over two weeks, one or two more days won’t make much difference. But the urge to take drastic measures came back in a few days when no new computer arrived.
With that in mind, I decided to let go of my attachment to outcomes. I was not going to fume and fret if my new computer did not arrive as promised. After all, I had been using my backup machines for a few weeks without undue hardship. What difference would another week or two make, anyway?
