Exposing your baby to higher vitamin D levels could prove to be beneficial in the long run with researchers suggesting that low levels of vitamin D could increase the risk of schizophrenia later in life.

Researchers from Queensland Brain Institute in Australia collected blood samples from new born babies from Denmark and then compared the vitamin D concentrations with the blood samples taken from new born babies who were known to have suffered from schizophrenia later in their life.
