Jules Shuzen Harris, Vice Abbott of Soji Zen Center, http://www.sojizencenter.com has been selected to participate at the Symposium for Western Socially Engaged Buddhism, August 9-14 in Montague, MA. He will be on a Special Ministries panel moderated by Fleet Maull who has founded three Socially Engaged Buddhism organizations. Appearing alongside Harris will be Francisco Lugoviña and Anthony Stultz. Shuzen Sensei will also participate in a discussion group on Race and Diversity.

The Symposium is being organized to promote the practice of Socially Engaged Buddhism and encourage members of the Western Buddhist community to join this worldwide movement, Attendees will include leading Western activist practitioners, academics and sponsors of Socially Engaged Buddhism. The event is sponsored by the Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation, the Lenz Foundation and the Zen Peacemakers.
